Our Story

The Founder and Head Chef 

La Crêperie de Hampstead was founded in 1977 by Chef Extraordinaire Edward De Mesquita. Who throughout his career has provided the best crêpe you will find anywhere. The crêperie is famous for its long queue's but once you taste that crepe you will look forward to queuing again. The crêperie has been frequented by many celebraties and tourists as well as locals, some who visit daily.

Chef de Mesquita is a dual citizen moving regularly between England and France, he is also a talented musician who has many accolades from his talents. He has a long list of successful eateries and business endeavors but his baby is La Crêperie de Hampstead. 

"  Our crêpes are unique, you must be trained to make one of our crêpes and has been my pleasure to make so many delicious crêpes for you over 42 years, my passion is teaching my skill to aspiring crépiers at our successful Crêpe School. "
